What to Expect on Your First Visit

On the day of your appointment, we ask that you show up no later than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit time. Part of your electronic medical record (EMR) includes a photograph, which we will take at the desk upon your arrival.

What to Bring

Please bring your license and insurance card to every patient visit. You should also bring every medication that you are taking including prescriptions, supplements, creams, and over-the-counter drugs. This is to ensure that your medication list is accurate. Our medical assistants can also check your prescription bottles for necessary refills at the time of the visit, limiting the need to make phone calls to get this accomplished later on.

Our Goal

We aim to make sure that your visit allows us to focus primarily on your health care. At Blairsville Internal Medicine, we use EMR to enable you, as the patient, to have control and accessibility to various systems. These allow you to manage your health care and connect with your primary care provider online with ease.

Logging On to Our Patient Portal

Accessing the Patient Portal is easy and can be done in two ways. You can sign up for the Patient Portal through our website by clicking the link at the top of the home page. If you do not have internet access, a computer will be available in the office waiting room. You can also request a paper copy of all patient forms.

Reminders

We do ask that you complete all portal medical history, demographics, and necessary forms or that you submit paper copies, at least two days prior to your appointment. Receiving all paperwork including past records prior to your visit allows us to get to know you as our patient. We can also make your visit as hassle-free as possible by completing the majority of the data entry prior to you coming into our office.
